誕生日は私にとって内省の時であり、地球という惑星での素晴らしい人生において73回目の誕生日を迎えた今、人間であるが故の困難、憧れ、孤独、希望、夢、願望を歌で表現し、多くの人に奉仕する道具となれたことに深い感謝しかありません。
私の転生を祝うこの日、この週に私が本当に言いたいことは、「ありがとう」ということです。神様、この不思議な人生をありがとうございます。私の心と魂の音楽が私たちをつないでくれたことにとても感謝していますし、この歌があなたの人生の旅路の友となったことを聞くのは、私の深い喜びでした。この春一番に、夢を持ち続けるための新たな力が湧いてくることを祈ります。そして、私たちは一緒に、より啓発され、寛容で、思いやりのある世界を実現することができるのだという希望を持ち続けています。それが、私たちが今ここにいる理由だと信じています。

Thank you everyone for your beautiful Birthday wishes. I was very touched by all your messages.
Birthdays are for me a time of reflection and with this being my 73rd Birthday of this amazing life on planet Earth, I have nothing but profound gratitude to have been an instrument of service to so many by being able to express in song some of the challenges, longings, loneliness, hopes, dreams and aspirations that come with being human.
All I truly want to say on this day/week of celebrating my incarnation is thank you. Thank you God for this magical life, thank you to all of you for your humbling love and support and appreciation of my songs. I am so grateful that the music of my heart and soul has connected us and it has been my deepest joy to hear how these songs have been a friend to you on your life journey. It has been one of my heart’s greatest joys to play for you and to have met so many of you on my travels.On this first day of spring I wish you renewed strength to keep your dreams alive and hold onto the hope that together we can and we are manifesting a more enlightened, tolerant, and compassionate world. I believe it is why we are all here at this time.

ロジャーはここで輪廻転生に触れている。
彼は、それをごく当たり前のこととして受け止めている。
これは英国人としては異例である。
キリスト教が常識の欧米において輪廻転生は異端の教えだからだ。
以前、ドイツ人の友人が語っていたのだが「仏教などの東洋の宗教も、その内容の多くは納得できることが殆どだけれど、輪廻転生だけは絶対に受け付けない。あれは狂った考え方だ。まるで信じられない」だそうだ。
へぇ～そうなのかぁ、である。
